INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Indiana Pacers guard Darrell Armstrong, who was ejected during a loss to Denver on Friday, was suspended by the NBA for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Armstrong began arguing with official Eli Roe midway through the fourth quarter of Friday's game after he disagreed with a call. He was given two technical fouls and ejected, then followed Roe and continued to talk to him before being restrained by teammates.

NBA executive vice president Stu Jackson said Sunday the suspension was for ``inappropriate actions'' following the ejection and for publicly criticizing the officiating.

Armstrong said after Friday's game that the Pacers haven't been treated fairly by officials since the brawl with Detroit Pistons fans in November 2004.

``Referees are calling our games like we're the brawl team from two years ago. We're not,'' Armstrong said. ``We're the team that's playing in 2006 and 2007 and it's just sad because we get treated like that.''Copyright © 2005 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. The 2009 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds have been released and Denver Broncos' running back Knowshon Moreno has been made the opening favorite.

Moreno was selected in the first round of April's NFL draft and is expected to carry the rushing load for the Broncos this season. And with Jay Cutler now in Chicago, Moreno might be expected to be Denver's entire offense.

Green enters a crowded backfield in New York, but considering both Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are unhappy about their contract situations and might holdout, the former Iowa product could become the Jets' primary back.

Everyone was shocked when Al Davis took Heyward-Bey with the eighth overall pick in April's draft, but the kid has a tremendous amount of talent and if quarterback JaMarcus Russell takes the next step this year, the former Maryland product could blossom. Plus, Heyward-Bey will be looking to prove the people wrong who said Oakland should have taken Michael Crabtree with the No. 8 pick.
